In addition to their intrinsic benefits to plants and being beautifully fragrant to people, essential oils have been used throughout history in many cultures for their many benefits. Modern scientific study and trends towards more holistic approaches to wellness are driving a revival and new discovery of essential oil health applications.
There are so many to list and talk about but to keep it simple I have just listed two below with their benefits for weight loss. I've started adding peppermint and orange blossom to our bliss balls. Charlotte little girl whom is my biggest food critic is now eating them with no weird faces when previously she wouldn't go near them.
Grapefruit Oil - Great for bloating and water retention. It's great to boost metabolism and accelerate the detox process on the lymphatic system. You can use it by adding a few drops to your water, massaging it into the skin with coconut oil or simply add it to your bath.
Peppermint Oil - Great for cravings and digestion. It helps to suppress the appetite as it works on the chemical in the brain the triggers the feeling of fullness. It is also useful in cases of stomach upset and assists with cases of candida which if untreated can prevent success of weight loss. It is full of goodness with Omega 3' fatty acid, Vitamin C and minerals such as potassium, magnesim and iron. Again use it in your water, add it to bliss balls, pop it in a diffuser or add it to the bath.
